There is hereby established an Office of Vital
Statistics, which office shall consist of the Registrar of Vital Statistics
and such deputy registrars and alternate registrars as may be deemed
necessary. Appointments to these positions shall be made by the governing
body.
The Registrar shall be responsible for the issuance
of marriage licenses, the recordimg of marriage certificates, the
recording of births, deaths and burials in accordance with the requirements
of the New Jersey Department of Health, and all other duties prescribed
by state statutes.
The Registrar shall collect the following fees
for services provided by the office:
