There is created within the Township of Pennsauken
the position and title of Municipal Housing Liaison.
The duties and responsibilities of the position
and title shall be as set forth above[1] and as otherwise necessary to comply with the Township's
obligations to COAH.

Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance
provided that this position was established to oversee compliance
with the Township's petition for certification of a fair share housing
plan under the round three regulations promulgated by the Council
of Affordable Housing and to assume the responsibility "for maintaining
records regarding COAH compliance, to oversee municipal services relating
thereto and to be primarily responsible for all communications with
COAH."
The position is one that requires the administration
of an important Township program and is necessarily managerial in
nature and will therefore not be added to the titles that are subject
to any current collective bargaining agreement.
There is no salary attached to the position,
it being the intent to appoint an existing administrator to the title
on an interim basis and to subsequently establish an appropriate salary
and more expansive job description, all of which will be the subject
of a future ordinance.
