[Adopted 3-13-1978 by Ord. No. 78-3
as Art. II of Ch. 95 of the 1977 Code]
A.
No new plenary retail consumption license shall be
hereafter issued in the Township of Pennsauken unless and until the
number of said licenses outstanding shall be less than 30; and after
the number of said licenses shall be reduced to 30, then no more than
30 plenary retail consumption licenses shall be in effect in the Township
of Pennsauken at any time; provided, however, that this shall not
prevent the renewal, from time to time, of existing licenses or the
transfer of said licenses as provided by law.
B.
No more than 10 plenary retail distribution licenses,
and seven club licenses shall be in effect in the Township of Pennsauken
at any one time.
[Amended 10-16-1978 by Ord. No. 78-26; 12-30-2002 by Ord. No. 02-32]
Nothing in this article shall prevent the issuance
of a new plenary retail consumption license to a person who operates
a hotel containing at least 50 sleeping rooms or who may hereafter
construct and establish a new hotel containing at least 50 sleeping
rooms. Any license issued pursuant to this section shall be conditioned
upon the continued operation of the establishment as a hotel containing
at least 50 sleeping rooms, and failure of such continued operation
shall subject the license to revocation. No license issued pursuant
to this section shall be renewed or transferred except for premises
operated as a hotel containing at least 50 sleeping rooms.
