Within this chapter the following terms shall be defined as set forth
below:
All things necessary to the game of basketball as commonly understood,
including but not limited to backboards, supporting poles, bases for supporting
poles, rims and nets.
The commonly understood game of basketball and all other activities
that include bouncing a ball or allowing a ball to bounce on a hard surface
such as macadam, cement and/or concrete.
Outdoor recreational facilities as regulated by Chapter 226 of the Code of the Township of Pennsauken.
Any roadway or street within a public right-of-way, regardless of
the public entity owning and/or maintaining the roadway or street.
It shall be a violation of this chapter to:
It shall be unlawful for a parent or guardian having legal custody of
a juvenile to knowingly permit or by inefficient control to allow a juvenile
to violate this chapter. The term "knowingly" includes knowledge that a parent
or guardian should be reasonably expected to have concerning the whereabouts
of a juvenile in that parent's or guardian's custody. This requirement
is intended to hold a neglectful or careless parent up to a reasonable community
standard of parental responsibility. It shall be no defense that a parent
or guardian was completely indifferent to the activities, conduct or whereabouts
of such juvenile.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be subject,
upon conviction, to such penalties as are set forth in the Code of the Township
of Pennsauken for violations of the ordinances of the Township of Pennsauken
generally.[1]
