Township of Riverside, NJ Chapter 13 Civil Service

[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Riverside 7-26-1967 by Ord. No. 1967-13 (Ch. 13 of the 1995 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]

§ 13-1 Positions created.

The classes of positions, duties of which are set forth as part of this chapter by reference to the two separate and distinct schedules prepared by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, are hereby created.[1]

§ 13-2 Effect on current pay.

The adoption of this chapter shall not operate so as to decrease the present pay of any officer or employee.

§ 13-3 Satisfactory performance required.

The adoption of this chapter shall operate to provide increments only to those employees who have satisfactorily performed the duties of their positions.

§ 13-4 Salary schedule to be set forth by ordinance.

The salary schedule and/or increments shall be set forth by the governing body in their annual Salary Ordinance preparation.[1]
