The following number of off-street parking spaces shall be provided
as set forth below. The approving body, at its discretion, may require
more parking spaces than those listed below. The Planning Board may
also allow some parking spaces shown on the plans where the unimproved
parking spaces could be constructed at a future date if the need arises
as determined by the approving body.

One for each three seats devoted to assembly room purposes

Gasoline service station or repair garage
|
Two, either within or without the structure, for each 200 square
feet of floor ground area devoted to repair or service facilities
plus one space for each employee. In no case shall the spaces for
permitted motor vehicle storage in conjunction with a service station
be less than five.

Buildings or uses other than those specified above
|
At least one for each 1,000 square feet of gross floor area
or lot area, as determined by the Planning Board or Zoning Board.
The determination shall be consistent with the principles set forth
herein for comparable buildings.

Employee parking
|
One for each two employees on the largest shift, unless otherwise
noted above

A.
All parking facilities shall be located off of the public right-of-way
and beyond right-of-way lines as herein defined, may be provided on
adjacent parking lots owned or leased by the applicant or provided
by easement and shall contain each of the following:
(1)
Ten feet by 20 feet per automobile parking space and such additional
space as is necessary for the vehicle for which use of the space is
designed. Where required or provided, the design standard for parking
spaces for the handicapped shall be eight-feet-by-twenty-feet plus
an additional eight foot by 20 foot aisle. One aisle may be shared
by two spaces. Curb ramps of the type recommended by the New Jersey
Department of Transportation and acceptable to the Planning Board
shall be installed at suitable locations.
(2)
Adequate accessways, aisles and maneuvering spaces shall be in addition
to the net area as specified above.
B.
Access aisles and driveways to parking areas shall be not less than
25 feet in width.
C.
All parking areas, passageways and driveways shall be surfaced with
a dustless, durable, all-weather surface acceptable to the Borough
Engineer, clearly marked for car spaces, except when provided in connection
with agricultural uses, and shall be adequately drained, subject to
the approval of the Borough Engineer. Entrances and exits for all
required parking facilities shall be located not less than 30 feet
from the intersection of any two street lines, and the arrangement
of off-street parking areas providing space for more than two vehicles
shall be such that no vehicle would have occasion to back into a street.
Any parking areas existing at the effective date of this chapter
may continue for the particular use but shall not be subsequently
reduced to an amount less than that required under this chapter. Off-street
facilities for parking provided to comply with the provisions of this
chapter shall not subsequently be reduced below the minimum requirements
of this chapter.
