It shall be the duty of the Borough Engineer to attend all regular and special meetings of the Mayor and Council, to advise the Mayor and Council on specifications and bids for materials, equipment and public improvements, and to perform and conduct all other engineering duties which may be required by the Mayor and Council.
For the above services he shall receive such salary as the Mayor and Council may from time to time adopt by ordinance,[1] his actual disbursements made and expenses incurred in attending to any matters referred to him. And for engineering services rendered in connection with public improvements, such as grading, curbing, sidewalks, paving, sewers, storm drains, etc., he shall receive the prevailing professional compensation for like services or such sum as may be agreed upon with the Mayor and Council.

An ordinance entitled "An Ordinance concerning the duties of the Borough Engineer" No. 1473, adopted April 2, 1946, be and it is hereby repealed.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon publication according to law.
