The person holding the office of Legal Assistant shall be an attorney at law of New Jersey.
The Legal Assistant shall attend all meetings of the Planning Board of the Borough of Rutherford and he shall perform such legal services for said Board as it may require of him, subject to the supervision of the Borough Attorney.[1]

The Legal Assistant shall perform such additional legal services which may be delegated to him from time to time by the Mayor and Council upon the recommendation and under the supervision of the Borough Attorney.
The salary of the Legal Assistant shall be in such amount as the Mayor and Council shall determine by the ordinance concerning civil service.[1]

The term of office of the Legal Assistant shall be for one year, commencing on January 1 and terminating on December 31 of the same year and until a successor has been appointed.
The duties of the Legal Assistant shall not exceed 80 full working days in any one year.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon publication according to law.
