It shall be the duty of every department head
to impress upon the borough employees under their control and supervision
of the importance and of their responsibility in performing their
duties in a safe and careful manner and to cooperate with the borough
insurance carriers in the promotion of safety programs.
A safety conference shall be held annually on
the second Tuesday of June, or at such other time as the Mayor and
Council shall designate, with representatives of the interested insurance
companies, which shall be attended by all department heads.

The Chief of Police shall provide for the holding
of courses at least one time during a school year for instructing
School Guards in the performance of their duties, which courses shall
be attended by all School Guards.
Any borough employee violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall be subject to the disciplinary proceedings contained
in this chapter, the Civil Service Act or the Police and Firemen's
Act.
