There is hereby established the office of the
Municipal Clerk for the Borough of Seaside Heights pursuant to N.J.S.A.
40A:9-133.
The Municipal Clerk shall be appointed by the
Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council, and shall
serve for a term of three years as provided by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133.
A.
The Municipal Clerk shall serve as the Clerk of the
Council, perform such functions as may be required by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133
and other laws and shall maintain the records and minutes of the Council.
B.
To be appointed to the office of Municipal Clerk,
an individual must possess a Municipal Clerk certificate pursuant
to the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133.2.
