There is hereby established the office of Deputy
Tax Assessor for the Borough of Seaside Heights.
The Deputy Tax Assessor shall be appointed by
the Council of the Borough of Seaside Heights and shall serve a term
of office of four years commencing on the first day of July next following
his appointment and ending on June 30 of the fourth year as set forth
in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-148.
To be appointed to the position of Deputy Tax
Assessor for the Borough of Seaside Heights, an individual must hold
a certified tax assessor's certificate from the State of New Jersey.
The duties of the Deputy Tax Assessor are to
assist the Tax Assessor in assessing the real properties in the Borough
of Seaside Heights in accordance with the appropriate state statutes
and regulations in regard thereto. The Deputy Tax Assessor shall do
all work as is required by the Borough Tax Assessor in regard to the
assessing of real properties and all various other work as is required
from time to time by the Tax Assessor.
