The following fees are hereby fixed and established for certain services extended and materials distributed by the Police Department of the City of Somers Point:
A. 
Copies of police reports (non-motor vehicles):
(1) 
Up to five pages: $15.
(2) 
Each page thereafter: $2.
B. 
Search fees in cases when a review of a record is necessary: $5.
C. 
Viewing of photographs: $5.
D. 
Photographic prints:
(1) 
Black and white:
(a) 
Five inches by seven inches: $7.
(b) 
Eight inches by 10 inches: $10.
(2) 
Color:
(a) 
Five inches by seven inches: $9.
(b) 
Eight inches by 10 inches: $13.
E. 
Fingerprints of canvassers, solicitors, etc.: $5.
F. 
Motor vehicle accident reports (in-person request): $0.50 per page.
G. 
Motor vehicle accident reports (written request): $5.
All requests for police motor vehicle accident and/or motor vehicle accident photographs, whether in person or by mail, shall be accompanied by a letter of authority with sufficient identification naming the person or persons applying for such copies and indicating the authority or capacity of the person or persons making such request for such police motor vehicle accident reports and/or motor vehicle accident photographs. Sufficient identification of the person or persons making requests shall be required before motor vehicle accident reports or motor vehicle accident photographs may be released.

A. 
The following shall be exceptions to the fee schedule set forth in § 132-2 above, and there shall be no fees charged to or for the following:
(1) 
A local municipal agency, county agency, State of New Jersey agency or federal agency.
(2) 
A charitable nonprofit corporation or religious corporation.
B. 
No handling fee is required if photograph or report is not on file.
No reports concerning criminal activities or pending criminal hearings shall be released, except pursuant to the rules of criminal discovery.
The Police Department of the City of Somers Point will collect such fees herein established and will pay the same over, within 48 hours of collection, to the Treasurer of the City of Somers Point.
The viewing or reviewing of reports and photographs of accident scenes shall be permitted at Police Headquarters daily, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
