Basketball standard regulations are hereby established
in the Township of Woolwich.
All portable basketball units shall be prohibited
from being placed within the confines of the streets, roadways, cartways
and highways within the Township of Woolwich.
Portable basketball units shall be permitted
on or within the easement areas between the curb and private property
as long as actively in use. All portable basketball units shall be
used according to manufacturer specifications. No use of any cinderblocks,
sandbags, or any other objects may be used to weigh down or secure
the portable basketball unit. Units must remain movable.
Permanent basketball pole standards are prohibited
from being installed within the easement area between curb and private
property line.
The Township’s Zoning Officer, the Police
Department and any other Township Official designated to be in charge
of code enforcement or citizen safety within the Township of Woolwich
shall be authorized to take action to enforce this article.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punishable by one or more of the following: by a fine not exceeding
$1,000 or by imprisonment not exceeding 90 days. Each additional day
in violation of this article shall constitute a separate violation
under this section.
