The Select Board Members are authorized to establish
and post or publish and from time to time to revise rules and regulations
governing the use and operation of boats and vessels upon or in the
public navigable waters, either fresh or tidal, of the Town and also
the use of Town land and facilities appurtenant thereto for boating
purposes. Such rules and regulations shall be compatible with both
state and federal laws or regulations pertaining to the use and operation
of boats and vessels upon or in such waters but may establish restrictions,
together with reasonable penalties for infractions thereof, for specified
waters and boating appurtenances thereto.
