[HISTORY: Adopted by the Annual Town Meeting
of the Town of Nantucket 3-8-1971 by Art. 15, approved 6-22-1971;
amended in its entirety 6-25-2020 ATM by Art. 70, approved 10-27-2020. Amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to MGL c. 91, § 29, as amended,
the Town assumes liability for all damages described in that section
and incurred by work to be performed by the Department of Public Works
of Massachusetts in accordance with MGL c. 91, § 11, as
amended; and the Select Board are authorized to execute and deliver
a bond of indemnity for such damages to the commonwealth.
