There is immediately created the position of
Chief Financial Officer for the Borough of Emerson.
A Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed
annually by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council,
pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.
Where the individual appointed as Chief Financial
Officer is also appointed Borough Treasurer, the salary paid for Borough
Treasurer shall also include compensation for the duties of Chief
Financial Officer.
The Chief Financial Officer shall assume all
of the responsibilities as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.
The Chief Financial Officer shall meet all of
the qualifications required by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1 et seq.
