Township of Lower, NJ Chapter 115 Rescue Squads

Article I Liability Insurance

[Adopted 12-10-1975 as Sec. 2A-4 of the 1975 Code]

§ 115-1 Insurance required of organizations funded by Township.

Any rescue squad or similar organization receiving any contribution, donation or appropriation from the Township shall hereinafter, as a condition prerequisite to the receipt thereof, carry liability insurance, insuring any motor vehicle owned or operated by the squad.

§ 115-2 Minimum coverage.

The minimum coverage for such insurance shall be $100,000 for each individual involved in an accident, with $300,000 in the aggregate for personal injury and $10,000 for property damage.

§ 115-3 Additional insurance.

The rescue squad shall, in addition, carry insurance with respect to activities other than the operation of a motor vehicle of like amount.

§ 115-4 Evidence of insurance to be filed with Clerk.

The rescue squad shall file evidence with the Township Clerk that the insurance is in effect as a condition prerequisite to the receipt of the contribution.
