A Search Committee will be annually appointed
to interview candidates for the purpose of making recommendations
to the Mayor for filling vacancies in accordance with the Charter,
Administrative Code, ordinances or general law.
The Search Committee shall be comprised of five
members, two of which shall be appointed by the President of Council
and three of which shall be appointed by the Mayor. Not more than
one member appointed by the Mayor and not more than one member appointed
by the President of Council shall be an elected or appointed official
of the borough or an employee thereof.
Members of the Search Committee shall serve
without compensation except for actual and necessary expenses incurred,
and the Search Committee may have a subcommittee, as it may deem necessary.
