The position of Fire Marshal/Assistant Chief is hereby established for
the Fire Department of the borough and the hiring of one person to fill that
position is hereby authorized.
The qualifications for persons applying for the position as Fire Marshal/Assistant
Chief are as follows:
A.
With the exception of the first supervising officer,
all applicants shall have at least seven years of service as a career firefighter
with the Borough of Norristown.
The position of Fire Marshal/Assistant Chief will be appointed pursuant
to a noncompetitive civil service examination.
The salary of Fire Marshal/Assistant Chief shall be the base salary
pay for the position of Sergeant in the Police Department.
