No person, partnership, corporation or other entity shall discharge or cause to be discharged into the public sewer system:
A. 
Any water or waste which contains more than 100 parts per million by weight, of fat, oil or grease;
B. 
Any other solid or viscous substance capable of causing obstruction to the flow in sewers or other interference with the proper operation of the sewer system of the Municipality.
Grease and oil interceptors shall be installed as directed or required in every industrial, commercial and institutional establishment. Said interceptors shall be of a type and capacity required by the Norristown Department of Licenses and Inspections pursuant to the Municipal Plumbing Code, and shall be approved by the official having jurisdiction under the Plumbing Code.
Motor oil or floor drain waste must be drained into a holding tank and disposed of by a contractor approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
A. 
All such holding tanks shall include an audible warning device at a monitored location.
B. 
All installations must be permitted and approved by the Norristown Municipal Department of Licenses and Inspections by the official having jurisdiction under the Plumbing Code.
Any person violating this article, upon conviction in a summary proceeding before a District Justice, shall be fined not more than $1,000 nor less than $300 for each day that the offense continues. If a violation of this article continues for three consecutive calendar days, the Municipality shall issue a cease and desist order which shall stay in effect will the violation is remedied.
