[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of North Coventry as indicated in article histories. Amendments noted where applicable.]
[In January 1959, the Board of Supervisors approved the Articles of Incorporation of the North Coventry Municipal Authority. A copy of the Articles of Incorporation, as amended, are on file in the Township offices and available for inspection.]

The name of the Authority shall be the "North Coventry Township Water Authority."
The Water Authority shall be formed pursuant to the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and supplemented.[1]

The Water Authority shall be separate and apart from the previous Municipal Authority created by the Township (under the Authorities Act) which manages the sewer system in North Coventry Township.
The Water Authority shall be governed by a Board of seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors of North Coventry Township, who shall serve for terms that are staggered so that only one member term is up each year.
The Water Authority shall have the powers as set forth in Section 306 of the Authorities Act.[1]

The Board of Supervisors of North Coventry Township hereby retains the right which exists under the Authorities Act to approve or disapprove any plan of the Water Authority said vote of the Board of Supervisors being binding on the Water Authority.
Upon vote of the Board of Supervisors the Articles of Incorporation for the Water Authority may be filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
