The Board of Township Commissioners, acting through its Chairman of Parks and Recreations, shall cause to be posted at the entrance of the park the hours during which the park shall be open to the public. No person shall be permitted to remain, stop or park within the confines of the Patterson Township Community Park except during the hours that the park shall be open as posted, and further excepting with special permission secured from the Board of Commissioners. This prohibition shall not apply to members of the police force of the Township of Patterson conducting authorized patrols of the park area.
No person shall play at games of chance or drink, sell, possess or offer for sale any intoxicating liquor or alcoholic beverage within the confines of the park.
No person shall expose, distribute or place any signs, advertising circular, notice or statement or display any banner, emblem or design within the confines of the park without special permission from the Board of Commissioners.
Vehicular traffic of any kind is prohibited within the confines of the park, except wheelchairs for handicapped persons and except in a designated parking lot.
No person shall start a fire within the confines of the park except charcoal fires for cooking purposes, which shall be in designated park grills, or open fires in designated places. All cigarettes and cigar butts and all pipe ashes shall be completely extinguished by the person using the same.
No person shall bring into, leave behind or dump any material of any kind within the confines of the park except the refuse, ashes, garbage and other material of a picnic, camp or other permitted activity, and all such material shall be deposited in receptacles or pits provided for such purposes.
No person shall injure, deface, destroy, disturb or remove any part of the park buildings, signs, equipment or other property, trees, shrubs, flowers, other vegetation, fruits, seeds, rocks and minerals.
No person shall depart from or leave official or improved trails unless involved in an approved program involving off-trail activities authorized by the Committee formulating and governing park activities.
No person, except law enforcement officers, shall carry firearms of any description, air or gas guns, slingshots or other missile-throwing devices within the confines of the park or discharge any of the named devices over or onto park property.
No person shall bring into the confines of the park any animal destructive to wildlife, except that dogs and cats are permitted if they are controlled at all times or on a leash not more than six (6) feet in length.
No person shall use obscene, profane or abusive language while in the park or shall cause a public address system, radio, recorder or musical instrument to be used within the confines of the park at a level of volume audible beyond his immediate area.[1]
