The several wards of the city shall be numbered, and the numbers and
territorial boundaries shall be known and established as follows:
A.Â
First Ward: Beginning at a point in the center of Centre
Street and at the intersection of Norwegian Street; thence northwardly along
the center line of Centre Street to a point opposite the southwardly side
of property No. 500 North Centre Street; thence in an eastwardly direction
to a point in the center of Pottsville Water Company Reservoir and where it
intersects the eastern line of the city; thence southwardly along the city
line to the center of East Norwegian Street; thence westwardly along the center
line of East Norwegian Street to the place of beginning.
B.Â
Second Ward: Beginning at a point in the center of Centre
Street and at the intersection of Norwegian Street; thence eastwardly along
the center line of Norwegian Street to a point where it intersects the east
line of the city; thence along such city line the several courses and distances
to a point where such city line intersects the center of South Centre Street;
thence northwardly along the center line of Centre Street to the place of
beginning.

Third Ward: Beginning at a point in the center line of
Centre Street and the intersection of Norwegian Street; thence southwardly
along the center line of Centre Street to a point that would intersect the
south line of the city; thence westwardly along such city line to a point
in North Manheim Township; thence northwardly along the line between North
Manheim Township and Norwegian Township; thence westwardly along the line
between the city and Norwegian Township to a point that would intersect with
the east line of the former Yorkville Borough; thence northwardly along the
same to the center line of Norwegian Street; thence eastwardly along the center
line of Norwegian Street to the place of beginning.

Fourth Ward: Beginning at the intersection of the center
line of Second Street and the center line of Norwegian Street; thence westwardly
along the center line of Norwegian Street to a point of intersection of the
line of Norwegian Street and the eastern line of the former Borough of Yorkville;
thence along the eastwardly line of the former Borough of Yorkville to a point
where the center line of Race Street extended westwardly from Twelfth Street
would intersect the eastern line of the former Borough of Yorkville; thence
eastwardly along such line to the intersection of Race and Second Streets;
thence southwardly along the center line of Second Street to the place of
beginning.

Fifth Ward: Beginning at the intersection of the center
of Second Street and the center of Norwegian Street; thence northwardly along
the center line of Second Street to the center of Race Street; thence westwardly
along the center line of Race Street to the intersection of the eastern line
of the former Borough of Yorkville by extending the center line of Race Street
westwardly from Twelfth Street; thence northwardly along the eastern line
of the former Borough of Yorkville and the city line to a point where the
line of Norway Alley extended westwardly to intersect with the western line
of city; thence eastwardly along the center line of Norway Alley extended
and Norway Alley to a point in the center of Norway Alley and Second Street;
thence southwardly along the center line of Second Street to the intersection
of Harrison Street; thence eastwardly along the center line of Harrison Street
to the center of Centre Street; thence southwardly along the center line of
Centre Street to the intersection of Norwegian Street; thence westwardly along
the center of Norwegian Street to the place of beginning.
F.Â
Sixth Ward: Beginning at the intersection of North Centre
Street and Harrison Street; thence westwardly along the center of Harrison
Street to the center of Second Street; thence northwardly along the same to
the center of Norway Alley; thence westwardly along the center of Norway Alley
and the line extended westwardly to intersect the western line of the city;
thence along the city line the several courses and distances to the center
of the Pottsville Water Company Reservoir; thence eastwardly along the same
to the place of beginning.
G.Â
Seventh Ward: To include all of the several courses and
distances contained in the former Borough of Yorkville.
