City of Pottsville, PA Article I Municipal Drug Task Force

§ A227-1 Purpose.

A. On June 25, 1990, the City Council of the City of Pottsville by Resolution No. 149 authorized the Mayor to execute an agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Office of the Attorney General Municipal Drug Task Force (the "agreement").

B. The City of Pottsville has implemented a municipal drug task force in compliance with the Municipal Police Jurisdiction Act, 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8953(a)(3).

C. The City of Pottsville wishes to implement the agreement pursuant to the provisions of the Act of 1972, July 12, No. 180, Section 5.[1]

§ A227-2 Authority.

The City of Pottsville shall enter into the agreement.

§ A227-3 Jurisdiction.

The police officers of the City of Pottsville shall have the expanded jurisdiction referred to in the agreement which is attached to this Article and incorporated by reference as if set forth fully and completely in this section.
