City of Pottsville, PA Article III Joint Municipal Agreement for Law Enforcement Services

§ A227-12 Purpose.

A. On December 9, 2002, the City Council of the City of Pottsville by resolutions, authorized the Mayor to execute agreements with the Borough of Mechanicsville for police protection and the Borough of Mount Carbon for police protection.

B. The City of Pottsville wishes to implement the agreements pursuant to the provision of Act of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Legislature in Consolidated Statutes 55 § 2301 through and including § 2315 as enacted.[1]

§ A227-13 Authority.

The City of Pottsville shall enter into the agreement.

§ A227-14 Jurisdiction.

The police officers of the City of Pottsville shall have the expanded jurisdiction referred to in the agreements which are attached to the article and incorporated by reference as if set forth fully and completely in this section.[1]
