[Adopted as Ch. 2, Art. II, Div. 4, of the 1974 Code]
The Borough Secretary shall perform all the duties prescribed for his
office by law or by any ordinance of the Borough. In addition:
A.
He shall draw orders on the Treasurer for the amount
of bills against the Borough which have been approved and ordered paid by
the Council, keeping a register of the same.
B.
He shall keep accurate accounts of the outstanding liabilities
of the Borough.
C.
He shall assist the Borough auditors in preparation of
the annual financial report of the Borough.
D.
He shall give written notice to the members of the Council
of all special meetings thereof.
E.
He shall, when any resolution requiring executive action
is passed, give written notice of the same to the Mayor or any other officer
or officers whose duty it may be to carry the same into effect.
F.
He shall present, without unnecessary delay after their
passage, to the Mayor for approval all ordinances or resolutions which shall
have been enacted by the Council, making a record of the day and date on which
every such ordinance is presented.
G.
He shall perform any other duty pertinent to his office
when required by the Council.
