The streets, alleys, highways and public places
of the Borough shall be lighted, at the expense of the Borough, by
means of electricity or otherwise as the Borough Council may, from
time to time, prescribe, and the Borough Council is hereby authorized
to approve a contract or contracts for such purpose, and, when such
contract is approved, the same shall be executed in the name of the
Borough by the President of the Borough Council, and the corporate
seal of the Borough shall be affixed thereto, and attested by the
Clerk of the Council.
