The boundary limits of the Borough of Punxsutawney are hereby established as a zone in which motor vehicles may remain standing without lights, and all streets and alleys within such boundary limits are hereby designated as streets where motor vehicles may remain standing without lights.
No person shall park any vehicle or allow the same to remain parked upon any of the highways of the Borough of Punxsutawney for longer than 48 hours.
No persons shall park any vehicle or allow such vehicle to be parked upon any of the highways in the Borough for commercial purposes or for the sale or exhibition of any article or for the exhibition of such vehicle or for any commercial purpose wherein the parking of the vehicle becomes a means whereby the transaction is affected or effected, provided that nothing herein shall prohibit the delivering of merchandise, loading or unloading or the reasonable use of any highway for any such purpose.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XII § 226-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§ 226-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV (§ 226-54), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XV (§ 226-55) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVI (§ 226-56) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVII (§ 226-57) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XVIII (§ 226-58) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XVIII of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVIII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The locations described in Schedule XIX (§ 226-59), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§ 226-60), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XXI (§ 226-61), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.
The parking spaces designated in Schedule XXII (§ 226-62), being properly identified as handicapped parking spaces, are reserved for vehicles bearing HP (handicapped person) and DV (disabled veteran) registration plates or window decals as issued by the Easter Seal Society. It shall be unlawful for any other vehicle to occupy any of the spaces so designated.
The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to remove and impound or to order the removal and impounding of any vehicle parked on any of the streets, highways or public property of the Borough in violation of any of the provisions of the law or of any ordinance of the Borough.
