The Borough of Ridley Park hereby adopts the Code known as "NFPA
Life Safety Code, 1997 Edition," as a standard to be considered part
of the requirements of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, of
which one copy has been and now is filed in the office of the Borough
Manager, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully
as if set out at length herein.
The NFPA Life Safety Code, 1997 Edition, hereby adopted, is
amended as follows:

Section 1.9 Applicability of BOCA National Fire Prevention Code.

1.9.1
|
Standards. The standards referenced in this code
shall be considered part of the requirements of the BOCA National
Fire Prevention Code to the prescribed extent of each such reference.

1.9.2
|
Controlled by Fire Prevention Code. The administration,
requirements, conditions, fees, violation penalties and appeals shall
be controlled by the Fire Prevention Code. Where differences occur
between the provisions of this code and the Fire Prevention Code,
the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code shall apply and control.

The provisions of this article shall not affect any act done
or liability incurred, nor shall they affect any suit or prosecution
pending or be instituted to enforce any right or penalty or to punish
any offense under authority of any of the repealed ordinances.
