The regulations and prohibitions of this chapter shall govern,
regulate and restrict the conduct of all persons in the public parks
and playgrounds of the Borough, including but not limited to Hetzel
Park, Recreation Park, Tome Park, Eastlake Park, Bonnes Park and Nevin
Street Park.
A.
No person shall be allowed in a park except between sunrise and sunset,
unless a permit has been obtained, except for ice skating at Eastlake
Park.
B.
Buildings, bridges, tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, signs,
equipment or other park property must not be defaced, damaged, tampered
with, displaced or removed.
C.
Grass areas of the parks must not be used for roadways, parking or
other purposes which may injure or destroy the turf or landscaping.
D.
Trees, shrubs, hedges, berries, wildflowers or other flowers growing
in the parks must not be picked, cut, broken or injured in any way.
E.
Papers, rubbish or any refuse whatsoever must not be scattered in
or about the parks but must be deposited in receptacles provided for
that purpose.
F.
Throwing, discharging or otherwise placing or causing to be placed
in the waters of any fountain, lake, stream or other body of water
in or adjacent to any tributary stream, storm sewer or drain flowing
into such water any substance, matter or thing, liquid or solid, is
prohibited.
G.
Motor vehicles are prohibited in the parks except in spaces definitely
set aside and marked for parking purposes, and no person shall grease,
lubricate or make repairs to any motor vehicle in the parks.
H.
Riding of motor scooters, motorbikes and motorcycles is prohibited
in the parks.
I.
Fires may not be built nor allowed anywhere within the parks except
in outdoor fireplaces provided by the Borough.
J.
Lotteries or other gambling or games of chance, drunkenness, disorderly
or indecent conduct or profane or offensive language is prohibited
in the parks.
K.
The use or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited within
the limits of the parks.
L.
Solicitation of alms or contributions for any purpose, whether public
or private, the sale of any article or thing and the posting of any
sign in the parks are prohibited.
M.
No meeting for political, industrial or other similar purpose shall
be permitted in the parks.
N.
No person shall annoy, injure or kill any animals or birds in the
parks.
O.
No dogs or other animals are permitted in parks.

P.
Possession or use of firearms of any description or air rifles, spring
guns, bows and arrows, slings, javelins, spears or any other form
of weapon or athletic equipment potentially dangerous to wildlife
or human safety in the parks is prohibited.
Q.
No boating, bathing or swimming is permitted in Eastlake Park.
R.
The parks and playgrounds of Ridley Park Borough have been acquired
and are maintained by and for the use of residents of the Borough;
therefore, the Borough of Ridley Park or any person or persons designated
by it shall have the right to exclude therefrom any person who is
not a resident of the Borough.
S.
No person shall feed any bird or animal in Eastlake Park, except
by persons specially authorized by the Borough Manager.

Permits for the use of parks shall be issued by the Recreation
Board upon written application. A permit shall be issued by the Recreation
Board after an applicant meets the requirements of the Recreation
Board and provides proof of sufficient liability insurance as determined
by the Recreation Board.

The Police Department or any authorized agent of the Borough
of Ridley Park is authorized to enforce this chapter.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter,
upon conviction thereof before a District Justice, shall be sentenced
to pay a fine not in excess of the amount of $600, to be paid for
the use of the Borough of Ridley Park, with costs of prosecution,
or to undergo imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not
more than 30 days, or both.
