It is the desire of the Board of Township Commissioners of the Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and the Board of Township Commissioners hereby signifies its intention, to organize an Authority under the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

The name of the proposed Authority shall be the "Municipal Authority of the Township of South Fayette."
The names and terms of office of the appointed members of the Board of said Authority are on file in the township offices.

Pursuant to said desire and intention of the Board of Township Commissioners and in conformance with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act of 1945 and its amendments,[1] the proposed Articles of Incorporation are hereby set forth in full, as follows:
Articles of Incorporation
In compliance with requirements of the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, and pursuant to the ordinance adopted by the municipal authorities of the Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, signifying their desire and intention to form a Municipal Authority and that a Certificate of Incorporation be issued to said Authority, the Township of South Fayette does hereby certify:
(a)
The name of the Authority shall be the "Municipal Authority of the Township of South Fayette."
(b)
The Authority is formed under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.
(c)
One other Authority has been organized under the provisions of the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, by the Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, whose name is "South Fayette Township School Authority, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania." This Authority is still in existence in the Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
(d)
The name of the incorporating municipality is the "Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania."
(e)
The purpose or purposes of said corporation of the Municipal Authority is for the prosecution and completion of any and all projects and the imposing of all powers authorized under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of May 2, 1945, in said Township of South Fayette, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, or adjacent municipalities as from time to time may become necessary and convenient for the citizens and inhabitants of said township or adjacent municipality or any portion thereof and, to that end, to take, acquire and hold such real estate and personal property, either within or without the boundary of said township, that may be necessary to carry out the purposes of said Authority and to enter into such contract and contracts, agreement and agreements with adjacent municipalities and Authorities as may be convenient and necessary to carry out said purposes.

The term of its existence is 50 years._
