It is hereby declared necessary, for the protection, benefit and safety
of the general traveling public, and inhabitants of Straban Township, to require
permits for the construction or reconstruction or connection of ways or means
of ingress and egress to ordained township road rights-of-way and for the
sinking of bar holes in bituminous surfaced roads.
For the purposes of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall
have the meaning ascribed to them as set forth in this chapter:
BAR HOLE
A hole made by any means in bituminous surfaced roads, not exceeding
four inches in diameter.
BOARD
The Board of Supervisors, Straban Township.
PERSON
Any individual, firm, partnership, company, corporation, trustee,
association or private entity.
TOWNSHIP
Straban Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
Any person violating this chapter shall, upon a summary conviction before
a District Justice, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and
costs of prosecution, or shall undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days,
or both.
