It shall be unlawful to throw, shovel, push
or plow snow into, across or upon any roads, streets or sidewalks
or Township rights-of-way within the Township.

Where sidewalks exist within the Township, the
abutting property owner or tenant in possession shall be required
to remove snow from said sidewalks in accordance with the regulations
adopted pursuant hereto.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of § 137-1 or 137-2 above or the rules and regulations adopted thereunder, upon summary conviction thereof, shall pay to the Township a fine as set forth in Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. III, General Penalty Provisions, plus costs of prosecution. Upon failure to pay the fine and costs imposed, the defendant may be sentenced to suffer imprisonment for a period not exceeding ten (10) days.

Where sidewalks exist, property owners are required
to have at least a two-foot width of sidewalk clear of snow and ice
within 24 hours after the termination of the Township's declared "snow
emergency."
When more than twelve (12) inches of snow has
fallen, property owners may have up to forty-eight (48) hours to have
at least a two-foot width of sidewalk cleared of snow and ice after
the cessation of snowfall.
It is recommended that sidewalks not be shoveled until six (6) hours after the cessation of snowfall. During the snowfall and within six (6) hours after the cessation of snowfall, Township and state snow removal forces shall try to have roads plowed from curb to curb. In the event that a sidewalk has been cleared by a property owner and, more than six (6) hours after the cessation of snowfall, the Township or state forces plow or replow a road, causing snow to be plowed onto such cleared sidewalk, such property owner shall not be held liable for violation of § 137-6.
