All buildings located on streets, roads and highways in Upper Merion
Township are hereby numbered in accordance with the numbers appearing upon
a map and list approved by the Supervisors on April 2, 1956, and such numbers
shall hereafter be considered the official numbers for the respective buildings
as set forth therein.
The Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to name all streets, roads
and highways in said township and the names appearing on the said map and
list dated April 2, 1956, shall be considered the official names thereof.
The word "street" as herein used shall be interpreted as meaning streets,
roads, highways and alleys.
The Board of Supervisors may at any time change said numbers and names
of said streets by resolution.
When and as any new buildings are hereafter constructed fronting on
any street in the township, the Township Engineer shall, with the approval
of the Supervisors, assign numbers to such buildings respectively and such
numbers shall be added to said map and list and shall remain the official
numbers thereof unless thereafter changed by resolution.
When and as new streets are laid out within the township, the Supervisors
shall assign names thereto, and said names shall be added to the map and list
hereinbefore referred to.
