It is the intent of the Board of Supervisors of Washington Township
to organize an Authority pursuant to the Pennsylvania Municipality Authorities
Act of 1945, 53 P.S. § 301 et seq.,[1] as amended, supplemented, modified or reenacted by the General
Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The name of the Authority shall be the "Washington Township Municipal
Authority."
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the Authority are as follows.[1]

The officers of Washington Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, are
authorized and directed to execute under its Corporate Seal the Articles of
Incorporation of the proposed Authority in substantially the form set forth
in this chapter, and such officers are authorized to do all acts necessary
or appropriate to effect the incorporation of the proposed Authority.
The Authority shall be for the purpose of financing working capital
and of acquiring, holding, constructing, financing, improving, maintaining
and operating, owning and leasing, either in the capacity of lessor or lessee,
projects of the kind and character described in the following subsections
and for the purpose of providing financing for insurance reserves:
