The Board of Supervisors of Washington Township has received reports of recommendation by the Township Planning Commission and Township Agricultural Area Security Committee, and after a public hearing held on the petition to form an agricultural area, under the Agricultural Area Security Law (Act 43 of 1981),[1] the same is adopted as an Agricultural Security Area District within the Township of Washington.

Said Agricultural Security Area District shall be afforded the protection provided by said Act 43[1] so as to encourage the continuity, development and viability of agriculture within such area, including but not limited to limitations on the exercise of eminent domain.

The Board of Supervisors authorized the filing of the resolution and petition with the Berks County Recorder of Deeds and the Berks County Planning Commission.
