Editor’s Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 48, Art. II, Police Pension Plan, adopted 12-12-1995 by Ord. No. 239 (Ch. 1, Part 3, of the 1983 Code of Ordinances), as amended, stating: "...the previous ordinances or resolutions relating to the West Whiteland Township Police Pension Plan with an effective date prior to the adoption date of the amendment and restatement of the plan are hereby repealed with respect to benefits accruing on or after the amendment and restatement effective date and the attached amendment and restatement of the plan is enacted."
The Board of Supervisors does hereby enact and ordain a pension plan for all uniformed employees of West Whiteland Township, the same to be known as "West Whiteland Township Police Pension Plan Originally Effective December 25, 1975, As Amended And Restated Effective January 1, 2008." The full text of said plan is attached to this article as Appendix A and is included in Appendix A of this chapter.[1]

Eligibility of the employees to participate in said plan shall be as defined and set forth in said plan.
This plan is enacted pursuant to the provisions of the Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. § 66512.
Said plan may be amended from time to time by ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of West Whiteland Township.
Said plan shall be effective as of January 1, 2008.
