This article shall be known as the "West Whiteland Township
Mechanical Code."

Except as amended and modified by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code contained in 34 Pennsylvania Code Chapters 401 through 405, the International Mechanical Code, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of West Whiteland Township for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems in the Township, with additions, insertions, deletions, and changes prescribed in §
129-40 of this article.
The International Mechanical Code is amended and changed in
the following respects:
A. Section 101.1, insert "West Whiteland Township," second line.
D. Section 106.5.3, insert in Number 2: "not more than 75% of the permit"
and in Number 3: "not more than 75% of plan review."
E. Section 108.4, insert: "guilty of a summary offense" and "not less
than $100 and not more than $1,000," and "not exceeding 30 days, or
both."
F. Section 108.5, insert: "not less than $100 and not more than $1,000."
Ordinance No. 350, dated April 27, 2007, as amended, of West
Whiteland Township is hereby repealed.
The granting of any permit or registration certificate, the
performance of any review or inspection, or any other action taken
under this article by the Township or any of its designated officials
shall not constitute a representation, guaranty, or warranty of any
kind by the Township or any of its officials or employees as to the
quality, workmanship or effectiveness of any construction or repairs
and shall create no liability upon or a cause of action against the
Township, its officials or employees for any property damage or personal
injury that may result from any such construction or repairs.
Nothing in this article or in the International Mechanical Code hereby adopted shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding pending in court, or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, or any cause or causes of action acquired or existing under any act or ordinance hereby repealed as cited in §
129-42 of this article, nor shall any preexisting legal right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired, or affected by this article.
