All City offices of the City of Rensselaer shall be closed for
business all day on each Saturday except such offices, if any, as
are required to be kept open on such days or part thereof by the provisions
of any general law of the State of New York applicable alike to all
cities; provided, however, that the Common Council may from time to
time require any City office to be kept open on such Saturdays or
parts thereof as it may prescribe and public convenience require,
except as otherwise provided by the provisions of any general law
of the State of New York applicable alike to all cities.

All City Hall offices of the City of Rensselaer shall be open
for business on all weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., exclusive
of holidays.
