Editor's Note: This ordinance repealed former Ch. 232, Burning,
Outdoor, adopted 11-27-1973 by Ord. No. 1378 as Ch. 90, Art. II, of
the 1973 Code, as amended.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to burn trash,
lumber, leaves, straw, brush, trees or any other combustible materials[1] in any street, alley, vacant lot or land improved by any
building within the corporate limits of the Township of Toms River,
except in such cases as the person or persons desiring to burn any
of said materials shall have a legal permit to do so.
Any person convicted of violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall suffer a penalty of not less than $500 nor more than
$1,000 for each such violation.
