No person who has charge of any boat carrying
passengers for a fare or any boat for hire and/or is the owner, has
or controls or is in charge of a dock, pier, wharf, float or other
place used for landing persons shall direct or permit the landing
of any such boat or any of its passengers at such dock, pier, wharf,
float or other place used for landing persons within the Village of
Mill Neck without having first obtained permission in writing from
the Board of Trustees of said village.
The Mayor and Trustees are hereby forbidden
to grant permission to land such boat or its passengers except at
a dock, pier, wharf, float or other place which is firmly and securely
built and properly moored.
Any person committing an offense against any
provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty
of a violation pursuant to the Penal Law of the State of New York,
punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term
not exceeding 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The
continuation of an offense against the provisions of this chapter
shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate
and distinct offense hereunder.
