It shall be unlawful for any person to tattoo a human being, except that tattooing may be performed for medical purposes by a person licensed or otherwise authorized pursuant to the Education Law of the State of New York to practice medicine or osteopathy.

Any person who violates this article or fails to comply with any of its requirements shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties provided in § 1-1 of the Code of the Village of Patchogue.
