As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
JUNKYARD
Any place or places, either on public or private property, where
worn out, discarded, second hand, rubbish, wood, building material, or scrap
material (such as iron, steel, or any metal, rags, paper, automobiles or parts
of automobiles) is stored or allowed to accumulate, collect or stand.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corporation,
to establish, maintain, conduct or allow any junkyard, either on public or
private property, within the limits of the Borough of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
The establishment, maintenance or conduct of any junkyard within the
limits of the Borough of Lewisburg is hereby declared to be a public nuisance
and liable to be abated as provided by law.
Any junkyard heretofore established and now existing and maintained
upon any property, either private or public, within the limits of the Borough
of Lewisburg is hereby declared to be a nuisance and shall be removed by the
owner, lessee or proprietor of such premises.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this
chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 90 days. Every
week that a violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate
offense.
