This work shall include the construction of grassed ditches in approved locations.
The material for grassed ditches shall conform to the following sections of these specifications:
A. 
Topsoil, § A601-54.
B. 
Fertilizing and seeding, § A601-57.
A. 
The bottom of the ditch shall be carefully graded and compacted to eliminate the possibility of standing water. The minimum grade of the ditch shall be 2%. The side slopes shall not be steeper than four horizontal to one vertical.
B. 
A minimum of six inches of loam shall be placed on the bottom and side slopes of the ditch in conformance with § A601-55 of these specifications.
C. 
The entire area shall then be fertilized and seeded in conformance with § A601-58 of these specifications.
