Before entering upon the duties of his office, the Collector of Taxes shall give bond to the Town, with good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Board of Selectmen. Said bond shall be upon the condition that said Collector of Taxes shall well and faithfully discharge the duties of his office during any and every period of his incumbency thereof.
The Collector is authorized to use all means for collecting taxes which a Town Treasurer, when appointed a collector, may use.
The Collector shall pay all money collected to the Town Treasurer within seven days from the time such taxes are placed in his hands.
