GENERAL REFERENCES
Enforcement — See Ch. 277.
Streets, sidewalks and public ways — See Ch. 398.
Whoever continues to stand, sit or loiter in or about any street, sidewalk or any public way so as to obstruct the free passage of travelers or vehicles thereon, after being directed by a police officer to move on or disperse, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.
It shall be deemed to be a breach of the peace, and it shall be the duty of any police officer to order any person so acting as to obstruct the free passage of travelers or vehicles to move on and disperse and, if the person or persons so warned does not forthwith obey, to remove such person or persons or to arrest and cause such person to be brought before a justice of the District Court of Norfolk County, Wrentham, Massachusetts, upon a complaint made for a violation of the provision of the preceding section.
The provisions of this bylaw are severable, and if any of its provisions shall be held unconstitutional or invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the decision of said court shall not affect or impair any of the remaining sections.
