A Hazlet Township Library Commission is hereby
created to advise the Township Committee on giving direction to and
planning for the orderly growth of the Hazlet Township Memorial Library
and other library facilities in the Township supported under the authority
of N.J.S.A. 40:54-35.

The Commission shall consist of nine members.
B.Â
One member shall be a member of the Township Committee,
and the remaining eight members shall be citizens and residents.
C.Â
Members shall be appointed by the Mayor.

The term
for the two new members, added by Ord. No. 1656-20, shall end on December
31, 2022.
A.Â
Upon expiration of the term of office of any Commission
member, other than the Committeeman or Committeewoman member, the
Mayor shall appoint a successor for a three-year term.
B.Â
Midterm vacancies occurring on the Commission shall
be filled for the unexpired term only, in the same manner as the original
appointment.
