The official holidays with pay which are observed
by the Borough are as follows:

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, it shall be
observed on the previous Friday; if the holiday falls on a Sunday,
it shall be observed on the following Monday.
Where it is necessary to maintain service requiring
an employee to work on an official holiday, the employee may be compensated
by being permitted to take an equal amount of time off with pay on
a regular working day at a time approved by the department head. In
the event that an official holiday occurs while an employee is on
sick leave, he/she shall not have that holiday charged against his/her
sick leave.
