A. 
No person, except Borough officials and employees on official business, shall be present on any of the recreation fields of the Borough of North Haledon located generally to the rear of the Municipal Building between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Eastern standard time. During the time of year when daylight saving time is in effect, the prohibited hours shall be between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., except that when an organized sport or recreational activity is taking place which has been properly authorized by the Board of Recreation Commissioners and such sport or activity requires the lighting of field(s), then the hours shall be between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. during daylight saving time.
B. 
Notwithstanding the above, in case of league tournaments or state tournaments, if it can be reasonably anticipated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners that the curfew might be exceeded, the Board of Recreation Commissioners Chairperson may reasonably extend the curfew so long as he/she notifies the Mayor and Council representative, subject to the provisions of Subsection C of this section. The Mayor and Council shall have discretion and may approve the request subject to appropriate conditions.
C. 
The Mayor and Council may, by resolution, limit the discretion of the Board of Recreation Commissioners Chairperson to extend curfews and/or establish terms, conditions and/or guidelines for such extensions.

A. 
Notwithstanding the provisions of this article, persons shall be permitted to be present on the recreation fields for a period of time of one hour after the conclusion of any organized sport or recreational activity which has been properly authorized by the municipality. The foregoing shall not apply to those individuals designated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners to clean and/or restore the recreation field, and the lights or a portion thereof may remain illuminated to ensure the safety of those persons cleaning and/or restoring the recreation field.
B. 
The Mayor and Council may, by resolution, limit the designation of the Board of Recreation Commissioners Chairperson to extend the presence after organized activities, including the illumination of lights and/or terms, conditions and/or guidelines for such extensions.

Any person who violates any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
