GENERAL REFERENCES
Board of Health — See Ch. 49.
The local Board of Health shall be as constituted by ordinance duly adopted by the governing body.
The Board of Health shall have such powers as are provided by law.
The Board of Health shall appoint such personnel as it may deem necessary to discharge any duty imposed by law or to perform any services permitted by law.
All appointees shall serve for a term of one year, unless otherwise provided by law, and shall perform such duties as are required by law and such other services as are from time to time assigned by the Board of Health.
The Board of Health shall hold monthly meetings at such place as is designated in an annual resolution. Where the circumstances require it, the Board of Health may meet in special and emergency meetings. All meetings shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of law and in particular in accordance with the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Law.[1]
